PLOY OF PEPSI

I first saw Britney Spears' Pepsi commercial during the Superbowl. I was immediately drawn to the commercial due to its glorification of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. I felt that i had misrepresented those generations by ignoring racism, warfare and political scandal. For a media literacy project for my video class, I wanted to expose the fabrications that Pepsi had presented to the public. I captured many clips from various video collections of historical events. For each generation The commercial re-enacted I inserted actual clips from that time period. I tried to place clips over the original commercial where they would have the greatest effect.
