David Mohr
My name is David Mohr and I am 17 years old. I live in Sacramento, CA. I attended Leonardo da Vinci Magnet School for kindergarten through eighth grade and now go to C.K. McClatchy High School. For as long as I can remember I have been into all kinds of art. I have always enjoyed drawing and putting together my own comic books. Recently I have been playing in a band with some of my friends. Drawing has usually been my main fascination and I think that has influenced the way that I film movies. I got a small black and white video camera when I was in junior high and used ti to make movies in my house with toys and stuffed animals. I then began making movies with my friends for various school projects. By our sophomore year of high school, our movies had become well known by our peers. Christmas of my junior year I was given a better video camera and began making movies by myself, without having to stay within wire's length of the VCR. The possibilities seemed endless Movie making is something that I enjoy a lot and hope to one day pursue as my career. I enjoy filming almost anything. I was asked to put together am movie about my school's open house and was able to still have fun planning out shots and camera angles. I can see myself filming documentaries because I don't think I could ever write a story as odd as real life. Still, I do enjoy the challenge of trying to make movies that are stranger than reality. |
