THE MATING GAME
A film by Ravi Malhotra

FILM DESCRIPTION & STILLS FORTHCOMING

Ravi Malhotra didn't really appreciate theatre until his Sophomore year of high school, when he decided to sign up for a Beginning Drama course. This prompted him to audition for a part in the spring musical, Crazy For You. He recieved a minor part, a dancer with a few lines, but he had a terrific time. Just a year later, he had the lead role in Guys and Dolls and was singing solos. However, he soon decided that directing, not acting, was the most optimum method to express his own ideas. "While directors almost never recieve mainstream recognition that actors get," Malhotra writes, "there is a certain substance that a director can add to a movie that an actor could only contribute to." He finishes the thought with the statement: "I've got a lot to say and I think that directing is the best way for me to say it."
