Awarded
the Golden Apple Award by the National Educational Film Network, and the
Cine Eagle Award at the Windy City Film Festival, this explosive Olmos
Production scrutinizes FACES, a gusty New York improv theater company comprised
of a group of young adults, each trapped in their own war between the sexes.
Each struggles to understand and regain control of the pain and the anger
that somehow appears again and again in their relationships. It Ain't
Love is the only piece in the festival not completley created
by youth, but was included in the evening showcase because it focuses
on youth.
Produced
by Nick Athas and Danny Haro, executive produced by Lorraine Bracco and
Edward James Olmos, and directed by Susan Todd & Andrew Young. The
Olmos group, focused on the condition of poor and third world youth, has
led the field in searching for and depicting the survival, the consequences,
the nobilty and the tragedy of "second class" citizenship.
