THE COOL SCHOOL VIDEO
A film 58 ninth grade students
Emerging from the creative juices of 58 ninth graders at Montera Jr. High School in Oakland, California, The Cool School Video was created as an entry in a Foot Locker contest. It asked student filmmakers to produce a video urging kids to stay in school. The piece won first place and was reproduced for national distribution. The prize was a new pair of sneakers for every student, teacher, administrator, custodian, counselor, cafeteria worker, bus driver, etc. in the school!
