Crocker Art Museum Exhibition of the 4TDR Winners' Reels

A window into the current state of development of the region's high school computer graphic arts will be continuously projected and on display at the Crocker Art Museum for the fourth year. From absolute ground zero 36 months ago, local high schools are beginning the steep climb to achieve the potential of what the commercial world has already well established in producing digital animation and using stunning computer rendered special effects in film and video production.

The imaginative creations of 20 winning pairs of youth who co-produced digitally made short "movies" will be honored by the Crocker Art Museum. Their innovative works will be continuously displayed at the museum from April 4 - 30, 2000. Comedy, tragedy, animation, and image verite, frivolous and grim subjects comprise a rich pot pourri of the newest art.

These works provide a powerful window into the state of development of the cutting edge of school digital computer graphics using the latest software on Power Macintosh and PC computers. A reception for the show will be held Sunday, April 16th from 1 - 3:30 at the Crocker Art Museum, located at 216 "O" Street, Sacramento.
