Jackie Taylor is an avid do-it-yourselfer with a background in broadcasting and standup comedy. Taylor began her television credits by hosting the California Lotto show and the Big Spin, bringing a new face and feel to the weekly picks. Her other television appearances include national television host of DIY Networks "Grounds for Improvement, HGTV's Gardening by the Yard With Paul James, the Do-It-Yourself-Her reporter on Good Day Sacramento and Good Evening Sacramento, where Taylor helped to empower women on how to do home improvement projects.

Taylor is also the co-author of "Grounds for Improvement: 40 DIY landscape and design projects. Her book if filled with practical techniques, fabulous projects, and hundreds of before and after color photos to help you transform your outdoor spaces into inviting retreats.

On a mission to continue helping women to empower themselves through DIY projects, Taylor launched with four other television experts, www.oodleboxtv.com, an online how-to video website of DIY projects for the home and garden and gracious living community. Taylor has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times, the New Jersey Gazette, Sacramento Magazine, Style Magazine, the Bay Area Reporter, Jane & Jane magazine and the Sacramento Bee.

Whether it's putting in a stone patio, or hosting TV shows, writing a book or starting a new business, Jackie can be found around town sharing her DIY knowledge and making crowds of people laugh with a wisecrack.
