Purely Inspired!

There is no other description of this year's Teen Digital Reel Showcase (TDR) entries, 94 in all from 17 high schools in our Sacramento Sierra Region. The organized collaboration of our Digital Arts Studio Partnership teacher members continually refines and elevates the bar of our competition. The requirement for an industry standard Entry Production Portfolio with each digital movie has paradoxically multiplied participation and elevates the sophistication of the youth team producer's creations. The Tower of Youth's dozen years of Showcase development has been fueled by major teaching skill growth, $1.2 million in disseminated digital tool awards from the TDR, and the profound encouragement that comes from our twice a year, state of the art, media festival events -- the TDR and the North American All Youth Film & Education Day -- lending a great public visibility transformation in media artistry. All this is happening at a moment when our state's Governor is faced with an opportunity to provide unprecedented leadership by accepting direct responsibility for the "Digital Arts Studio Partnership and Workforce Program" through new legislation of that title, or, issuing an Executive Order that would propel California's youth into world competitive leadership in media arts through a historic agreement between our K-16 school system, the digital manufacturing, and entertainment business world. This 12th Annual event is a beautiful celebration of this progress -- clearly showing:
"Youth are the Solution"!
