Youth producing movies are the cultural heart of California's creative jobs. These teen entrants seed and define this new age of visual industry. Every business depends daily on video, internet and other visual content. This information is being sent to eligible 13 - 20 years old from across the US and Canada, to get their best movie entries. Events like this sponsored by Tower of Youth contribute to maintaining a quality creative job base.
The North American All Youth Film & Education Day will contain a treasure trove of cutting edge media works produced by teenage youth from across our continent. The entries, in large part, represent the best of the best selections of other local and regional showcase events. An all-youth jury from the Sacramento Region, views and objectively scores every entry that will be shown at Sacramento's Crest Theatre on the day of the event.
This 12th annual event will be produced live in real-time at the Crest Theatre with 4 cameras and streamed live to the Web using the innovative NewTek Tricaster Studio. Hosted entirely by youth, the event also includes well known Movie Career Industry Speakers sharing their visions of the future. At midday, youth producers will field questions from the thousand-member student audience.
The prize for winning is exhibition and distribution of the edited shows sent around the country. The payoff is young people strengthening the future creative job base needed for a vital economy.
